So who else is excited about Sherlock Season 3?

The first two seasons aired on BBC were outstanding and if anyone's not seen them, I'd highly recommend watching all the 6 episodes from season I and II. After the mysterious death, which Sherlock has faked, I can't wait to watch the season 3.

That was one of the most mysterious ending I have ever seen in my life. And the more mysterious thing is that they havent revealed the date of premiere. 😡

We used to watch the early 80s Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett as Holmes and David Burke as Watson. Great series. My son has the whole series on his desk top. I enjoyed seeing again 'Scandal in Bohemia' only two days back.

the tv series starring Jeremy brett are not that exciting.

Also this year it launched season 1 with 24 episodes each episode 50mins long, so it was quite a thrill. It is a good competition to SHERLOCK. lets see what season 3 brings on

Not just season 3, but season 4 & 5 have been announced. The season 3 filming is almost over and the series is expected to go live in the first quarter of 2014.

If you compare Sherlock and Elementary,

Sherlock : 3 episodes 90min each.
Elementary: 24 episodes 60min each.

Same characters same theme.
Sherlock : Highly irregular series. No idea when it will be premeired.
Elementary: Already announced seasons annually.

It is not that i dont like Sherlock. I loved it. But it is too much waiting. I will obviously watch it when it comes out but Elementary is more promising. They had to adjust a bit of their facts in relation to original sherlock stories due to copyright and licensing issues but it is good. You should try it. #-Link-Snipped-#

I never said that SHERLOCK sucks. I told waiting for it sucks. Apart from that, Elementary is there to fill in for it. And its doing a pretty good job. Ratings are low since many people, include urself, find it difficult to trust something else for Sherlock holmes apart from SHERLOCK itself. But its good.

The premiere episode of "Sherlock" Season 3 is "The Empty Hearse." According to BBC One Programme Guide, the episode picks-up two years after Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) jumped down from the roof of St Bart's hospital.
