SKEYE Nano Drone: The World’s Smallest Quadcopter Fits In A Matchbox

Quadcopters have recently caught everyone's attention as many tech giants brought them in talks as a potential delivery bot that carries your product from their inventory to your doorstep. There are applications of such drones in many fields and the folks over at TRNDLabs have been able to introduce even more potential uses by making the drone so small (4.0 x 4.0 cm) that it could fit inside a matchbox. Yep. TRNDLabs, a company that specialises in developing unique and innovative products has been successful in building the world's smallest precision controlled quadcopter called the 'SKEYE Nano Drone'. We are already imagining sending small text messages and may be also using it for spying on your colleagues in office. *Grin*

The company believes that the light weight body, high thrust and super responsive controls will let users perform really good maneuvers from the comfort of their joystick. Powered by a 100 mAh Li Polymer battery, the SKEYE nano drone boasts of particularly sophisticated circuity and the presence of accelerometers and piezoelectric gyros. The charging time is 30 minutes and the flight time is ~ 7-8 minutes. The stability of the drone is being talked about a lot. TRNDLabs claims that even if the user throws the drone in air while throttling up, it will auto stabilize.

Those who believe that this is a must-have product can get it on StackSocial for $34.99. You may take a look at the following video for a demonstration -

If you are wondering about the distance to which the drone will fly away from the remote control, well the specifications list that as "up to 50m". The overall weight of the quadcopter is 11.9 gram and the dimensions are 1.57 x 1.57 x 0.87 inch.

For the price of $35, users will find a SKEYE Nano Drone, a 4-channel transmitter, a USB charging cable, four replacement rotor blades and of course a manual inside the package.
