Sharp Aquos Xx302Sh Smartphone Launched - Specs At Glance

Japanese smartphone maker Sharp has announced a new flagship smartphone for their Aquos line-up. The company has named this phone - Aqous Xx302Sh. The most peculiar thing about this smartphone is its screen-to-body ratio. Considering the screen size of this flagship, which is 5.2” – Aquos Xx302Sh is smaller in size compared to the 5.0” Samsung Galaxy S4. Under the hood, this smartphone packs a powerful configuration and it is tougher on outside as well. Sharp’s new flagship is IP57 certified, which makes it water and dust resistant.

Sharp Aquos

As Sharp has announced Xx302Sh as their flagship model, this phone gives full justice to its flagship status. It has a quad core snapdragon 800 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, internal storage of 32 GB and it can be expanded by an external microSD card. Speaking of screen-to-body ratio, it packs 5.2” screen with full HD (1080p) resolution inside a 132*70*9.9mm body. Sharp has installed its own IGZO glass on front panel. A 2600 mAh battery keeps this phone up and running.

Coming to the main features - Sharp's Xx302Sh has a 16.3 MP camera with a wide aperture of f/1.9. Due to wide aperture, capturing low light images becomes easy for users. People who like to take selfies, this smartphone is made for them. It packs an insane 12 megapixel front facing camera. In connectivity, all basic connectivity options are available like Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS,3G, LTE etc.

Unfortunately, this powerful smartphone is only available in Japan and it is heavy on our pockets as it is priced at $670. What are your views on this new flagship smartphone? Share your views through comments.

What kind of person would pay Rs. 40K for a phone from Sharp instead of investing it on an iPhone, Note III or a Nokia Lumia 1020. Plus the phone seems to big enough to hide your face when you answer a call.

What is the '+' and '-' sign for on the bottom of the screen? Are the volume buttons on the bottom of the phone? 😨

    For me -
    Impressive:
    - Screen to Body size
    - Design and Size
    - Display
    - Camera
    - battery
    - ROM

    Disappointed:
    - Price
    - Android 4.2 (Why the hell smartphone creators still using an old version of Android)

I guess they are for volume coz there is only a power key on side of that phone.
