Scion FR-S stands for Front-Engine, Rear-Wheel, Sport and provides with an example of speed and unique stability achieved between the rear and front ends. The car designed so as to feature a front to rear weight ratio of 53:47. This design parameter of car enables it to make use of full power of dynamically placed engine.

The four cylinder engine of Scion FR-S is designed by the collaboration of Toyota with another #-Link-Snipped-#. The powerplant is 2.0 liter naturally aspirated one with capacity of generating 600HP and 151 pound-feet torque. The engine is basically inspired from Subaru's horizontally opposed engine. The naturally aspirated engine so developed combines capability of Toyota's state-of-art D-4S injection system. While the engine is running, it features a high compression ratio of 12.5.

#-Link-Snipped-#is structurally a light weight vehicle. It is also bringing with it an infotainment audio system 'BeSpoke'. This is first attempt by any automaker. The company claims that with BeSpoke, FR-S drivers will be able to access wide variety of personalized services. However Perhaps Scion is not the only one. Ford is also planning for the same and has made it a point to let #-Link-Snipped-# work with apps compatible with its patented SYNC technology.

From technical specifications, it appears that the car maker is serving as an experimental model for Toyota. It is evident from the technologies that Scion is adopting in its vehicles, as of late. It will not be wrong to say, the features which we are seeing in Scion today will be available in some form in other Toyota vehicles too.
