Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series Adds Some Inexpensive Beef To Your PC!

Samsung has pumped in some new muscles with its new SSD 840 and SSD 840 Pro, supporting SATA 6.0 gigabit-per-second (Gb/s) interface, with an upgraded MDX controller delivering high performance, high reliability and sustainability, that facilitates the random read access to ~100,000IOPS, and for random write the count has more than doubled to 90,000 IOPS.

The Samsung SSD Global Summit at the Shilla hotel in Seoul, Korea, had nearly 70 tech-bloggers from all over the world who were given a first hand experience of these latest beauties, and in the full-day program an in-depth look at the technology, features and potential of the SSDs were viewed upon. This new 840 series SSD shall be made available for retailing globally from mid-October.
