Samsung Galaxy S2 Duos I929: Dual SIM (GSM+CDMA) Model Launched In China

Love Samsung Galaxy S2 but miss the dual SIM support? Don't worry, be happy! Samsung has announced Samsung Galaxy S2 Duos I929 - the dual SIM phone that supports GSM & CDMA 2000 networks. We're bit surprised that the Galaxy S2 Duos made a very silent entry in China. A quick look at the technical specifications does not reveal any major changes in hardware or software. It looks like the Duos I929 runs on a modified version of Exynos. The phone offers 4.52" WVGA Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU an 8MP camera capable of capturing 1080p Full-HD videos, a 2MP front facing camera for video conferencing and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.  But we can safely assume that it will receive Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich update sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, micro USB, 3.5mm audio jack, 16 GB internal memory and 32GB additional memory through micro SD slot. The phone however is little thicker (9.8mm) and a little heavier (132 gm) than the regular SII; could be because of the 1800 mAh battery which will give you extended talk time and standby. Currently the phone is available in China and we do not have any information about its international launch.

We're already imagining Samsung Galaxy Note with Dual SIM support. Hopefully Samsung will find a place to install second SIM in it. Could just make it the ultimate geek device. Agree?
