The smartphone packs a curved display around the right-sided edge, called the Edge Screen, which provides users quick access to frequented applications, alerts and system functionality - even when the cover's closed or the screen locked. User have the option to assign shortcuts to the side while using the phone, and the Edge Screen can even be used as a social media news-feed/alerts or a stock market ticker with data from partner Yahoo. Also packed in are virtual desktop-like environments which could be switched via side-display, or the user may just go through the homescreen or app drawer from this edge.

While the device shall be helpful to many smartphone users out there, it's a definite bother to the left-handed users.
