Nokia's betting big on the N9 and we recently got news that the next MeeGo update aka PR 1.2 firmware has been leaked. While we are searching for the download links let us quickly give you an update on what's new in the next firmware update. First things first - the latest firmware will enable video calling through front facing camera on N9. In addition, the phone will have app folders on the home screen along with several other tweaks. What N9 users will love the most is the copy & paste functionality in N9's web browser.

We do not know whether the updates will please all Nokia users. However, the screen-shots reveal that the inspiration behind the latest update lies in Google's Android and Apple's iOS. We hope Apple won't be angry on Nokia for finding inspiration in iOS style folders. The discussion forum thread on my n9 is running pr1.2 ???? - maemo.org - Talk talk about several updates to the camera system and app folders, but the exact details aren't available as yet. We tried searching online for the probable release date of the 1.2 firmware; but it seems that Nokia's keeping mum. Our best estimate is that the firmware will be officially released by the end of this month in select regions across the world and global launch will follow 2 weeks later.

This is a developing story and we'll update is as more details are revealed. In the mean time, tell us what are your expectations from the next firmware? Do the screenshots make you happy?
