Nissan launches all new Terrano starting at 9.99 lakh

On Monday, Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan has finally launched the much-awaited upgrade to its compact SUV Terrano from 2013. The all new version costs same as the previous one, ranging between 9.9 lac and 13.6 lac. The newer version is not much different incorporating a total of 22 changes with most of the changes being done on interior front.

These updates bring the new version at par with the latest in-car technology. Now, Terrano flaunts a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with satellite navigation. Other major changes include a revised dual tone interior color scheme, support for voice and graphic guidance and an all new steering wheel with integrated control buttons. The addition of dual-front airbags along with ABS and EBD to increase safety are welcome changes.

Minimal changes are done to improve the outlook of the SUV. L-shaped LED DRLs are provided along with some extra chrome work on front grills. The new bumper is slightly redesigned. Overall, it looks more or less the same, but you also get this one in Sandstone Brown finish.

The new Terrono remains as it is under the hood. Power is generated by a 1.6L petrol engine producing 103bhp and is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. When it comes to diesel variant, you get two options. One being 84bhp with 5-speed manual gearbox, and other is a combination of 108bhp with a 6-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

Nissan India Operations president Guillaume Sicard confirmed that they are going to introduce 8 new cars by 2021 expanding their profile. For now, with all the new features, Nissan Terrano is going to compete with already popular Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta.

Interior was so beautiful giving it an upper hand while competing fellow SUV's and an Automatic gear box in petrol variant would be nice and give it edge over other SUV's
