Nikon D800 And Nikon D800E - Shoot Yourself At 36 MegaPixels!

Nikon has finally launched its full-frame pixel beast Nikon D800, the latest member in its DSLR family. The D800 features a 36.3 megapixel (7360 x 4912 resolution) full frame sensor. Along with this, it utilizes a unique 910,000 RGB matrix metering mode along with a 51 point AF system, thus catering to the high standards of commercial photography. Built on magnesium-alloy material, this is one tough DSLR, I give it that.#-Link-Snipped-#
The whopping pixel count is supported by full HD resolution video taping 1920x1080 (at 30, 25 and 24 fps) and 720p (at 1280x720 at 60, 50, 30 and 25 fps). In a first of its kind for a DSLR, the D800 allows the user to run uncompressed video footage via an included HDMI port straight to a recording instrument, a feature many film makers would appreciate. Also, for the first time ever, a DSLR boasts of USB 3.0 port. Card slots are also provided (both Cf and SD).

Photographers/Videographers who demand a DSLR without a low pass filter on top of the sensor may go for the Nikon D800E, which in all other aspects is similar to Nikon D800. These DSLRs shall be available in the later period of March 2012, for a price of $2999.95 (Nikon D800) and $3299.95 (Nikon D800E).
