MULTIPLE FIXTURE FOR SHAFT WITH BEARING FUNCTIONAL TEST
Project Abstract / Summary :
The primary air fan (axial profile fan) consists of Shaft with bearing assembly that in turn has a shaft, bearing housings and bearings . The bearing used is of hydraulic type, servo system SAE 30 oil is used.
In this assembly test ring is used to determine the oil leakage in the cover assembly of the shaft with bearing. In this ten different varieties of assemblies are analyzed, and it having different diameters. In analyzing period to ensure the safety of the assembly it should be fixed tight with the rack. The rack should be changed based on the type of the assembly going to be analyzed.
This changing of rack which needs cranes to displace them, and also it consume larger power to actuate the crane and it consumes more time. It required more peoples to work and also it’s safe less process.
We have planned to reduce the process cost and also working time. Our idea is to fix the every rack arrangements into single circular plate. Racks are cut in the outer circumference of the circular plate. So we can easily change the rack by rotating the circular plate and this rotation is done by using handle.
This ensures safety for the people working on the machine, and reduces the process cost, cost and number of people working on the testing machine
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : This project gives more work on the field of designing, and also the previous method makes more complicated for workers, and also that need more time and cost to proceed. SO we have chosen to reduce the work time and process cost and also ensure safety to the workers.This project also need on the organisation.
