Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.1 Update - What's New?

We've a new update for the operating system from the engineers at One Infinite Loop. Apple has just posted the OSX 10.8.1 update which upgrades the recently released Mountain Lion. If you are new to OSX, head over to Apple (?) menu > Software Update and install the update. If you want to download just once and install the update on multiple computers, you may head over to #-Link-Snipped-# and get the installer.

What's New In OSX 10.8.1 Update?


Apple's offering fix for specific use cases. There are no new features. Apple recommends all users to update their computers but you may choose to skip it if you don't want any of the following -

    [*]Unexpected abort of the Migration Assistant
    [*]Microsoft Exchange Connection compatibility
    [*]Audio output through thunderbolt display
    [*]Issues in sending iMessage message
    [*]System becoming unstable while using Pinyin Input
    [*]Connecting to SMB servers with long names
    [*]Issues in launching Safari when using PAC file
    [*]802.1X authentication with active directory credentials
