Update: It looks like Apple's pushing out the Mountain Lion to the App store. The can see one instance here. Not yet available everywhere though. The download file size is 4.05 GB. Way to go, folks!

Along with declaring Q3 earnings report ( $35b revenue, $8.8b net profits ), Apple confirmed that the much awaited upgrade to the OSX operating system will be released in the next few hours via Mac App store. The latest cat features over 200 new features including improvements in accessibility, Airport mirroring, Auto Save improvements, built-in sharing, calendar and contacts improvements, dictation, gatekeeper and iCloud integration. Full new feature set information is available here.

The update will be available for free if you purchased your Mac recently (after 11 June, 2012). For the rest of us, the bank accounts will be lighter by just $19.99. Just make sure that your mac is capable of running the OSX. Also start freeing up some disk space so that you can download the heavy dump on your disk and install it. We'll update you as soon as the OSX 10.8 Lion is released. In the mean time, tell us how many of you are upgrading and how many are staying back on older OSX.
