Moto G5 arrives in India as Amazon exclusive with launch offers

Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola had launched the Moto G5 and G5 Plus at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. The phones quickly arrived on Indian shores. The Moto G5 Plus was launched as a Flipkart exclusive and now it is the turn of the younger sibling which has teamed up with Amazon for its launch. The Moto G5 was launched today at a press event at 12:15pm. The Moto G5 costs Rs. 11,999 which is cheaper than the Moto G5 Plus that costs Rs. 16,999. This put it directly in competition with the very popular Redmi Note 4 whose top end variant costs Rs.12,999.

The Moto G5 is Amazon India exclusive and it comes with a ton of launch offers. You can get of Rs. 1000 back if you decide to purchase Amazon Prime subscription for a year and pay with Amazon Pay balance. If you are HDFC Bank customer you get Rs.1000 additional cash back on your credit card on the purchase of Moto G5. If you decide to exchange your old phone you get a minimum of Rs. 500 off on the Moto G5. The Moto G5 goes on sale at exactly 11:59:59pm on Amazon India. The Moto G5 will be available in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold variants on Amazon. The Moto G5 has a 5inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering. The Moto G5 runs with the help of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset that houses a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM to run Android Nougat in its purest form. The Moto G5 has an internal memory of 16GB and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Moto G5 has a 13MP Phase Detection Auto Focus camera on the rear with LED flash and on the front you have got a 5MP wide angle lens for selfies. The Moto G5 has a water repellent coating that protects itself from splashes or rain. The Moto G5 is powered by a 2800mAh battery that can be charged quickly with the help of a 10W charger. Just like many mid-range phones the Moto G5 has a fingerprint sensor and support for 4G LTE.
