MODELLING AND ANALYSIS ON TIPPER DUMP BODY
Project Abstract / Summary : The handling and carrying of the large quantities of materials in truck body of varied construction upon the existing state of material its physical properties and required operation, which is to be performed is one of tasks taken by the mechanical and automobile engineers. For caring such wet and dry sand, boulders, blue metals, iron ore and granite blocks, body is used.
The truck body is the main part of the vehicle it contains a number of channels and mild steel or aluminum sheet metals. Most processing equipment units may be considering to the body with various modifications necessary to minimize the stress and improve the load factor of safety.
In the design of truck body, a number of factors may have to be considered. The most important factor is the selections of type of the body perform the required service in the satisfaction manner and the other selection of criteria must be considered such as the induced stress, material properties. The truck bodies are classified according to the type of operation.
So before the manufacturing the truck bodies, we can analyzing the varies factors by using finite element analysis, if maintain this procedure, we can improve the factor of safety of load and life time of truck body.
