Now that depends on what direction you want to go after graduation. If you are more interested in technical design, I would steer towards a related technical field. But if you are interested in being an an engineer in management, business, or sales, a potential recruiter would like to see some sort of direction in one of those fields.

So, there is no answer that would fit everyone. You have to ask yourself this: What direction do I want to pursue??

The choices you make now will help determine future possibilities. Employers looking to fill a job position will fight for someone who chose the given niche early on and shaped themselves to fill that role. You will be at an interview someday and be able to point to decisions made now and say, "See, I am perfect for this position - in 2012, I fell in love with (RF, FPGAs, VLSI design, ) and decided then that this was what I was going to do. I have focused and developed my skills in this area ever since then..."

I strongly encourage taking a stand like this rather than going through the motions and just fulfilling requirements in order to obtain a degree. Find the area that you were built for and go after it! It will set you apart from your peers.

I second Nowire, it's totally depend on your future plan.

When I was in 10th For change and i want to know about money management so i choose economy as my elective instead of sports. So Go with your plan and select elective subject. 👍

According to me, Its always advisable to go with engineering related elective itself, Only if you are mad on your discipline of engineering and it depends on your future too👍 .

I don't have such chance of choosing elective, only college will choose the elective paper.

Interested in economics😲. My mom is a graduate in the field of economics😉 .
