Micromax unveils Selfie 2 with 8 MP Front Camera, Fingerprint scanner

Home spawned consumer electronics company, Micromax has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed Selfie 2 in India. The device comes with a 100-day replacement warranty on any hardware problem, along with a stylish metal body design. The company has highlighted the main features of the device through their official website however no details regarding the availability and pricing of the device are yet disclosed.

Selfie 2 as the name suggests, comes with an 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash, Sony IMX135 sensor, 5P lens and f/2.0 aperture. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera as well with LED flash support, auto scene detection, f.2.0 aperture, OV 8856 sensor and 5P lens.

To enhance the quality of pictures the phone features a real-time bokeh effect, face beauty mode, wide angle, blue glass IR filter and one touch shot scene detection. It also makes for a secured user experience via a Finger Print Sensor on the back. There’s a MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core 1.3 GHz Processor with 3 GB DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity.

It further comes supported with 3000 mAh of battery power and runs on Android Nougat featuring Multi Window support, reply in the notification panel, enhanced Doze mode, New quick settings option and Bundled notifications option. Micromax had#-Link-Snipped-#released the #-Link-Snipped-# in mid-range bracket and Selfie 2 seems to be an upgradation over the same. Though the official announcement regarding the price is not yet made, Selfie 2 may retail around the range of Rs. 9,000.
