Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 With HotKnot Launched At Rs 6,999

One of the leading Indian consumer electronics company, Micromax Informatics Limited, has announced the launch of its new affordable smartphone Canvas Xpress A99. Priced at Rs 6,999, the handset will be available exclusively on e-commerce website- Flipkart from 8 th December. This new dual sim (GSM + GSM) smartphone from Micromax has a unique HotKnot feature that will allow the users to share files or browser URLs by simply tapping the devices screen-to-screen or connecting the devices through touch.

Micromax A99 has a 4.5 inch (11.43 cm) FWVGA IPS display with screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The capacitive touchscreen has the colour depth up to 16.7 million colors that gives vivid and crystal clear videos and photos. Running on Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system, Canvas Xpress A99 is powered by 1.3 GHz ARM 7 MTK6582V/X Quad Core Processor and Mali-400 MP1 graphics with 416 MHz Speed. It has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM and the external memory can be expanded up to 32GB. The Canvas Xpress has internal phone memory (apps + phone storage) of 5.85 GB. Coming to the camera department, the smartphone has a 5 MP rear camera with HD Video Recording of 1280 x 720 pixels. The other features of the camera include auto focus, flash support, multi-shot, night mode, and zoom Level: 4x. The front facing camera is of 0.3 MP.

Canvas
The dual sim smartphone has slots for normal SIM and micro SIM as well as for microSD card. The framework of the handset with chiselled metallic body and diamond cut-like edges has dimensions of 64.5 x 132.4 x 8.65 mm. It weighs 143 g. The smartphone is powered by1950 mAh Li-Ion battery that gives 7 hours talk time and 240 hours standby time.

The connectivity includes Wifi- 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4, USB v2, WAP v2, 21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA. The sensors include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Gravity sensor, Light sensor.
