It seems the trend of 8inch tablets is catching on. Last we talked about an 8-inch tablet called the iBall Slide Cuboid and this week we are here to talk about the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 which is also an 8-inch tablet but with 3G connectivity instead of the 4G. The Micromax Canvas Tab P681 showed up on the company’s website today and is soon headed to stores. As we hammer in the fact that the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 has an 8inch display we must also mention that its resolution is HD (1280 x 800 pixels).

Underneath the hood the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 is powered by highly integrated HSPA+ tablet platform MT8321 from MediaTek. The system-on-chip (SoC) houses a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, ARM Mali GPU and 1GB of RAM to take care of Android Marshmallow. The internal memory of the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 stands at 16GB and you do get the option of expanding the storage to up to 32GB with the help of microSD cards. Even though it’s quite unnecessary the company has added two to the Micromax Canvas Tab P681. The rear camera has a resolution of 5MP and the front has a resolution of 2MP.

The connectivity options on the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 include 3G, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth. The Micromax Canvas Tab P681 is powered by a 4000mAh battery which will last for under a day of usage.
