Making a microwave emitter using magnetron

Project Abstract / Summary : Our work cites the heating power of microwave to a large extent. Available microwave oven using 2.45 GHz magnetron can produce 0.8-1.2kW power. This type of heating is done without the direct contact with the heated element.
Our work is mainly fixed to solutions of two regular but unavoidable problems. First, in rainy season water logging is a drastic bad condition. Microwave emitter can solve it by evaporating the water which is first stored in a tank. Secondly, in sports if the field is wet then play may be abandoned. Microwave emitter can dry the ground quickly without harming the grass. This work also tries to provide some modifications in terms of mobilize the microwave emitter,large power & use of other high power microwave source.
Here we use a magnetron, a voltage doubler circuit, a step up transformer, a horn antenna. We also use a tank in which water can be loaded,a pump,a blower to blow out the steam produced,a vacuum pump to depressurize within the tank & a circulator to rotate the water. For sports field,this emitter is installed with the super sopper.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Every year, in big cities water logging in monsoon is a very big problem, especially in India. The problem can take a massive form during flood. as a solution microwave emitter can be adopted. It can vaporize the water quickly with its high power.
In sports during rain,the outfield becomes wet & there is a chance to get injury by the players. Microwave emitter can dry the grass very quickly so that the play can go on.
We can use gyrotron instead of magnetron in water logging problem as gyrotron has more heating power & efficiency. We can use a DC power source with DC-to-AC converter to make the device mobile.

Project Highlights : We think our project can win because it deals with the unwanted but unavoidable problems of our country, providing some easy solutions. It can better the daily life of common people during during rain.
