LYF Flame 4: Quad-Core Processor, VoLTE & Android Lollipop For Rs. 3,999

Reliance Jio owned smartphone brand LYF is on a roll. After unveiling the HomeShop 18 exclusive LYF Flame 3: VoLTE, Decent Specs & Android Lollipop For Rs. 3999 smartphone the Indian manufacturer has unveiled its successor, the LYF Flame 4 on its official website. The LYF Flame 4 just like its predecessor is one of the cheapest smartphones in the Indian market to feature Voice over LTE functionality. You can make voice and video calls over super fast 4G networks depending upon the availability in your area of residence. The LYF Flame 4 shares a lot in common with the LYF Flame 3 but as you shall see it is worse than the latter when it comes to certain specs.

The LYF Flame 4 being an entry level crowd pleaser gives you the option of choosing from 10 different Indian languages to operate the smartphone. The LYF Flame 4 sports a 4inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution display that has a pixel density of 225ppi and is protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass. Underneath the hood we have a Spreadtrum SC9830A chipset that houses a 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU, Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 512MB of RAM. This configuration can barely support the installed Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system.

When it comes to the cameras on the LYF Flame 4, things get as bargain basement as possible with the inclusion of a 2MP LED flash equipped sensor on the rear and a 0.3MP camera on the front. Both cameras are able to record 720p HD videos at 30fps. The cameras feature software additions like HDR, Panorama, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Burst Mode, Slow Motion Video and Anti-Banding. The smartphone has an internal memory of 8GB and you are given the option of expanding that storage to up to 32 GB with the help of microSD cards.

The LYF Flame 4 smartphone measures 122.5 x 64.4 x 10.25 mm and weighs 117 grams. The smartphone will be sold in a single Black colour variant that has a red strip around it. Connectivity options on the LYF Flame 4 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The sole sensor on the smartphone is an accelerometer. The smartphone has gone on sale for Rs. 3999 but if #-Link-Snipped-#, the LYF Flame 3 is a much better smartphone than the LYF Flame 4.
