Look Through Walls Without Window Using Prism 200C!
Seeing thorough walls, is not unheard of, but yet could not be achieved with some portable device. The Cambridge Consultants have come up with a device called Prism 200C, which is aimed to provide soldiers and police with some technical advantage over terrorists and hostage situations.
What the company has done is some research to reduce its weight so that, it can be accommodated by a single person. Earlier technologies and devices were so much bulky, that you would actually two people on the job. Prism 200C requires only one person since its weight is just 15 pounds i.e. just 6.8 Kg or even less than that. The device is built to be portable and compact.

The system works by scanning the area by wide band ultrasound radio frequencies, which makes it possible to map the region on the opposite side of wall. The only thing you need to do is to hang it up to the wall of a room which you want to scrutinize. You can also do that by keeping your back pressed against the wall with the device pressed against it. Most importantly, you can also connect it to computers of the main military base so that they send the soldiers precise instruction by monitoring the situation. This makes it even simple to operate and leaves hardly a chance of failure. In this way we can say that the system is designed for minimum error, almost negligible.
Another very good advantage is that you can also view a three dimensional view of situation. Moreover Prism 200C can be used to see through wooden doors, concrete walls and brick walls in other words, any general construction. However the device cannot survey through steel. This may be considered a disadvantage. Getting Plan, profile and Top view that too by just pressing a simple switch adds to the list of features. Using Prism 200C ensures that the criminals can run but cannot hide. A normal battery can provide service for approximately eight hours.
Wayne Booker is the vice president of government systems, Cambridge Consultants. According to him, this is a device which will be used by military and various security agencies like Police hence the company can hardly go on to do its publicity. Speaking about confidentiality, Wayne Booker, also felt that the device should remain in hands of Law enforcement and not with criminals. The nature of device and work done by it makes it difficult for the company to go public. However it is a very good sign of a Government-Private partnership in defense arena.
The device offers a detailed view of ‘happenings’ on other side of walls. It would hence be very useful in hostage situations and kidnappings. Prism can also be used to detect bomb being manufactured in a close room that to with dim or no light. Since it does not depend on light but on radio frequency it emits. The radar thus gives a clear picture in mind. This will also be used to counter terrorism and criminals which is also a necessity of time.
