Liquid Web CDN: Content Delivery Network Now Available
LiquidWeb - premium web hosting company based out of Lancing has launched its own content delivery network. Google has officially declared that faster loading websites will be given a priority in their listings and website speed has became an integral part of SEO. A CDN improves website loading times by fetching the static files (CSS, Images, JavaScript etc.) from the server physically nearer to the location from which the website is accessed.
Liquid Web CDN comprises of over 4000 servers spread across 35 strategic caching locations across North America, Europe and Asia. The company said that their CDN is already being used by 19 of the world's top 20 telecom companies, 9 of the top 10 Internet Service Providers in the USA and top 4 wireless providers as well.
LiquidWeb earlier offered cloud computing solutions. We had interviewed Liquidweb's CEO Matt Hill where he talked about the advantages of cloud power and Liquidweb's foray into it. With their entry into content delivery network, the company is planning to offer enhanced web performance, global availability, latency free expansion, affordable and scalable infrastructure, trusted delivery of content to its customers.
