LG Stylus 3 launched in India at Rs 18,500: Tech specs and features

South Korean LG Electronics updating its mid-range smartphones portfolio, has silently launched the LG Stylus 3 via its official website in India priced at Rs 18,500. The device was first announced back in December 2016 and was fully showcased at the CES 2017 in January.

With the third iteration, LG has improved the key highlight feature of the smartphone, its stylus, with a refined Pen Pop 2.0 that brings various functionalities like Pop memo, Pop Scanner, Capture+ and more. The new Screen-Off Memo feature allows the user to take quick notes on the screen with the stylus when the screen is off and a useful Pen Keeper feature that notifies the user to put the stylus back in the device slot to prevent misplacing it.

Talking about the specifications, the LG Stylus 3 flaunts a large 5.7-inch In-cell HD (1280 x 720) display offering a pixel density of 258ppi. The Mediatek MT6750 SoC housing eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz takes charge of the processing duties coupled with a dual-core Mali-T860MP2 graphics chip and 3GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB with an external microSD card. There are standard sensors on board including an accelerometer, proximity sensor, Digital compass, Ambient light, and Gyroscope.

On the photography front, it houses a 13-megapixel camera with f2.2 lens accompanied by LED flash at the back and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front with a convenient Auto shot feature and LED flash for selfies. Adjacent to the rear camera on the back panel, there is the LG's advanced Fingerprint Sensor that now supports additional functionalities of upgraded touch shutter and touch screenshot feature. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, USB V2.0 HS and GPS. Powering the entire package is the Li-ion 3200mAh battery running Google's Android 7.0 Nougat with LG's user interface on the top.
The LG Stylus 3 will retail at Rs 18,500 and will be available via the company's retail partners.
