LG claims this speaker to act as a mosquito repellent providing its user to push away blood hungry mosquitoes. Till date, we have encountered several stand-alone mosquito repellents that have refills and harmful chemicals resulting in several side effects. With this new innovations, LG has designed world's first smartphone with 'Mosquito Away Technology' to offer something new to the user community.

By using ultrasonic waves at above 30 KHz frequency, these speakers inhibit mosquitoes to roam around and are also not harmful to humans. No odor, no chemicals, and no harmful radiation make this technology more effective than any other which exists and is available to users till date. One just has to install the complementary back cover with speakers and install the device over a stand to let the phone do its work.

Apart from its mosquito repellant speakers, the smartphone comes with 12.7 cm OnCell display and a lightweight design to impart a comfortable grip to the hands of its users. It has 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera with gesture features to allow clicking unshaken pictures.

The device has a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor supported by 2 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of inbuilt memory which is further expandable via micro-SD.

Connectivity features include but aren’t limited to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, USB tethering, etc. It also has a 3.5 mm jack which allows FM radio and audio integration support. The smartphone has a removable battery at its back and has a capacity of 2500 mAh with no quick charging support.

Hence, at a price of Rs 7,999, LG K7i is offering a new technology with midrange specifications as compared to other devices available at the same price. Only the ultrasonic mosquito away speakers are is its main highlight. The smartphone will soon be available for sale via online and offline retailers and only time will tell how this device has made its impact on the smartphone community.
