LG Announces Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy Mid-Range Android Smartphones
With the Mobile World Congress just around the corner, smartphone manufacturers have begun to stir up the excitement by announcing their new offerings. LG Electronics has begun the proceedings by announcing four new mid-range Android Lollipop smartphones. With the LG Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy, the Korean manufacturer is trying to bring flagship smartphone features at affordable prices. All of these phones feature Gesture Shot that will allow users to take selfies with a three second countdown by a simple hand gesture. Selfie enthusiasts will be even gladder to know, LG has increased the distance from which the phones can detect the aforementioned gestures to up to 1.5 meters which makes them perfect for selfie sticks. Three of the phones, except Joy include LGâs signature back button.
LG is planning to sell both LTE and 3G variants of the Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy depending on markets. The LTE equipped handsets will have metallic back covers and the 3G connectivity ones will have patterned plastic back covers. LG has taken a cue from Motorolaâs flagship smartphone and has provided a gently curved design to the LG Magna and LG Spirit. Even though LG has not provided pricing details of the smartphones, we can easily assume the LG Magna to be the most expensive of them all because it features the largest screen (5 inch), better cameras (Rear 8MP / Front 5MP) and a larger battery (2540 mAh user removable). Since LG has divulged only a few highlights of these smartphones we have condensed them in the table below for a side-by-side comparison.
The LG Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy will be available in select markets from this week. For more information on these handsets, you can peruse through the #-Link-Snipped-#.
