Lenovo K320t Launched With Dual Rear Cameras, 18:9 HD Display and 3000mAh Battery

Chinese smartphone and PC giant Lenovo has added the new K320t smartphone to its K-series lineup. The phone has been aimed at the budget segment and is being sold at an affordable price tag of CNY 999 (approx Rs 9,900). Built on a polycarbonate chassis, the K320t is the company's first handset which offers a 5.7-inch, 18:9 aspect-ratio display with a screen-to-body ratio of 81.4 percent. It also houses two cameras on the rear for photography enthusiasts. The device sports an overall clean finish.

The K320t flaunts a 2.5D curved glass which protects its 5.7-inch IPS HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution display. On the rear side of the smartphone we find a dual camera setup with an LED flash. A fingerprint sensor is present on the backside as well. One of the rear cameras has an 8 MP resolution with an aperture of f/2.0 while the other has a 2MP resolution with f/2.2 aperture. The former has an autofocus lens while the latter has fixed focus. The front camera is an 8 MP shooter with a f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies. The Camera Basics - Aperture - YouTube indicates how well the images are captured in dim light and the smaller the number, the better the picture. The dual camera setup, though makes us excited, cannot be guaranteed to produce results. The Lenovo K8 plus, for instance, boasted of its camera performance with dual cameras but failed to impress many.

A 1.3 GHz quad-core processor from Speadtrum powers the device. The phone, however, runs on Android Nougat and not on the latest version of Android i.e. Oreo. Two micro SIM cards can be used simultaneously on the device and the memory can thankfully be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD cards. The phone supports all major 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. It is pretty lightweight for its size weighing only 153 grams. A proximity detector, Photo sensor, Gravity sensor are present on the device.

The power department is handled by a 3000 mAh, non-removable Li-ion battery which seems decent if not very good. A 5V/2A charger is supplied with the device. There was no mention of Fast-Charging. The device is currently being offered in two variants: 16 GB storage with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage with 3 GB RAM. The phone is available only in black color as of now. Pre-booking of the mobile phone has already started on the Chinese e-commerce store #-Link-Snipped-# and sales will start from 4th January. The launch date for India is not revealed by Lenovo.

The Lenovo K320t looks like an attempt by the company to strengthen its portfolio in the budget segment where Xiaomi is currently the ruler with its much-loved devices like the Redmi Note 4 and the new Mi A1. The entry of other manufacturers like Oppo, Huawei, Gionee, Meizu, and ZTE has made the competition even tougher. But if launched at a price below Rs 10,000, the Lenovo K320t can make a place for itself.

Its still a bad move. 3000mAh is not a competitive spec.Mi is more aggressive in specs. I hate non removable batteries but still many companies are adapting to it for some reasons.
