Job Opportunities In US/UK Profile: Java, J2EE | 5+ Years Experience In CMMI 5

Hi,
I have 5 + years of work experience in Java/J2EE technologies- development. I work in one of CMMI level 5 company in Chennai. May i know the procedure to search jobs in abroad. One of my friend said we cannot get VISA for UK and US easily now a days and the cost is also raised. Is there any good consultants that i can approach? Please suggest one.
