ISRO SAGA-220 Is 86th In TOP500 List Of Supercomputers

When it comes to supercomputing, India needs to work on the computing power. We informed you about the #-Link-Snipped-# Super computer that does 16.32 petaFLOPS per second which holds the current #1 position in the #-Link-Snipped-# list of global super computers. The SAGA-220, developed by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in association with Indian Institute Of Science (IISc) Bangalore is used to solve the complex computing problems in the aerospace domain. SAGA-220 has claimed 86th position in the global competition.

SAGA-220 uses an array of 640 NVIDIA TESLA GPUs to perform heavy computing tasks, taking off some load from the main processors delivering 394 teraflops of computing power. ISRO uses the computer to perform and optimize the design and analysis of newer and existing satellite launches.
