iPhone's Unrevealed Feature Keeps Track Of Places You've Visited

If you’re one of those iPhone users who travel a lot and usually end up forgetting the places and the time of your visits of the past in planning your later schedule, then your cellphone can help you fix this. However, this service is available to you only if you have enabled location services on your device. As there are a lot of smartphone apps that need to access your current location at any instant of time, enabling it would be fair enough to savour many apps available on your AppStore. This service has been secretly available to the users and provides a map of exact places you have visited.

Software hackers Peter Warden and Alasdair Allen were the first one to disclose this concealed feature, never broadcasted by Apple till date. They divulged an unencrypted file which constantly records the locations of the user. It acts as a spy and tracks locations of the user along with the time for the past ten months.

In order to enjoy this service, all you need to do is this: Go to Privacy -> Location Services -> Services Menu and voila, it's there. Doing this will take you to Frequent Locations menu. Tapping on that option will lead you to a list of places or cities you have visited, as tracked by your iPhone. Once you tap further, you will be given access to a map of that particular place. However, you also have an option for erasing the history of the places that have been visited. In addition, if you do not want to share you location with your smartphone, you can disable the location services.

So folks, what do you think about this hidden feature from Apple?
