iPad HD, Not iPad 3 Launch Is Likely At Apple Event. We're Calling It iPad 3 HD!

Apple might announce the iPad HD instead of the much awaited iPad 3 at the launch event on Wednesday #-Link-Snipped-# Mashable editor Chris Taylor. While everyone else is busy guessing the hardware & software specs for the next iPad, a credible source has tipped Mashable that the Cupertino big boss may launch iPad HD at the event. Looking at the press invite; it looks like iPad HD is what Apple hinted at.

iPad HD Likely To Be Announced At Apple Event

The first hint comes from #-Link-Snipped-#. TapaTalk app developer claimed that a device named 'iPad HD' showed up in the app usage logs and another user claimed said that 'iPad HD' has been appearing in Google Analytics reports since April 2011. A mystery device with screen resolution 2048 x 1536 is also being reported in GA, which hints at the iPad HD screen resolution. We already see this as history repeating itself. During the iPhone 4s launch, the rumors spread out on the Internet that the device will be called iPhone 5. But just few days prior to the launch, we found out that the name of the new iPhone could be iPhone 4s. It turned out that the guess was right.

We have a strong reason to believe that Apple will pack Retina display in iPad; which also seems to be the logical step towards iPad 5. While we're just few hours from the launch of iPad, we'd like to ask our readers what would they like to call the new device: iPad HD or iPad 3 HD or simply iPad 3?
