Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D: Android Lollipop & 4G LTE For Rs. 6,899

In the midst of the all the World's Cheapest Smartphone At Rs. 251 - Freedom 251 Touted To Ring Bells of Revolution madness, Intex Technologies have very quietly unveiled their new smartphone, the Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D. The moniker 2.5D signifies the 2.5D curved glass design on the smartphone which is a slight curvature at the edge of the glass display, also known as a contoured edge. This makes the edges smoother and it is more convenient to use without the uncomfortable bezels. The Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D is being sold in Black and White colour variants exclusively on the Amazon India website for Rs. 6,899.

The Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display with a pixels per inch figure of 294. Underneath the hood, we find the popular MT6735P SoC from MediaTek that was recently used on the XOLO Era 4K: 64bit Quad-Core Processor, 4G LTE & Android Lollipop For Rs. 6,499 and many other smartphones in this price bracket. The SoC houses a 64-bit 1.3GHz ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor, an ARM Mali-T720 GPU and a slightly larger 3GB RAM entrusted with the task of running Android 5.1 (Lollipop). The dual micro SIM setup on the Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D supports 4G SIMs. The internal memory on the Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D is at 16GB out of which 11GB is free for the users. You can expand the storage with the help of microSD cards of up to 32GB.

On the photography front, we have an 8MP Largan lens with LED flash on the rear and a rather low resolution 2MP camera on the front. The Intex Cloud Crystal 2.5D is powered by a 2200mAh battery that is claimed to offer talk time of 6 to 8 hours and standby time of 120 hours. The connectivity options list includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. The sensor list includes g-sensor, proximity and light sensors. Intex preloads Intex Service, Follo, Opera Mini, Clean Master, NewsHunt, Amazon, Chaatz apps on the Cloud Crystal 2.5D. Intex clubs in a screen guard and a protective cover for free in the smartphone’s packaging box.
