Intex Aqua Style III With Android Nougat Lands As An Amazon Exclusive For Rs. 4,299

In a bid to reduce costs and increase popularity of its smartphones online, Intex Technologies has tied up with Amazon India to launch its new smartphone. The Intex Aqua Style III has been launched as an Amazon India exclusive and you can buy it now for Rs. 4,299. There are no hassles of flash sales and you can even opt to exchange your old smartphone for a discounted rate. The Intex Aqua Style III has been carefully developed by adding features and cutting corners wherever needed. You can see evidence of this as we discuss more about the smartphone in the following paragraphs.

For starters the Intex Aqua Style III has the standard 5inch display but with a lower resolution of FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels). Intex knows that the entry-level Indian audience needs a larger display but isn’t bothered by the resolution that is why you get a bigger display but with lower resolution. When we dive into the Black or Champagne coloured exterior of the Intex Aqua Style III we find that it has been equipped with a Spreadtrum SC9832A chipset which houses a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor, Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. In order to compensate for the lacklustre chipset Intex has added 16GB of internal memory which is twice of what you find on smartphones in the sub Rs. 5K chipset. You can use microSD cards of up to 64GB to expand storage. The Intex Aqua Style III runs Android Nougat which is the best operating system you can find in an entry-level smartphone.

The Intex Aqua Style III has remained restraint with the choice of cameras. It has provided the Intex Aqua Style III with a 5MP LED flash equipped camera on the rear. On the front Intex has been quite generous with selfie lovers by adding the same 5MP sensor. The Intex Aqua Style III is powered by a 2500mAh battery that offers up 300 hours of standby and 5 hours of talktime. You find 4G connectivity on the Intex Aqua Style III and not VoLTE which means you have to install the Jio4GVoice app on the phone and always keep the data on in order to receive calls on the smartphone.

Other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth have been duly included. The sole sensor you can find on the Intex Aqua Style III is the gravity sensor. Since the Intex Aqua Style III is being sold in cahoots with Amazon, Intex has preloaded the phone with Amazon and Amazon Prime Video app along with Gaana, Xender and QR Code reader. In the retail box you can find a charger with separate data cable, earphones, removable battery and screen guard.

Overall the Intex Aqua Style III isn’t a bad smartphone for an entry-level smartphone user but there are slim chances you will be blown away with its performance.
