It is a new week and just like clockwork Intex Technologies have launched a new smartphone. This time though they have put in a little extra effort to make the smartphone look and work good. The Intex Aqua Secure is one of the cheapest smartphones in the market to feature a fingerprint sensor. It is also the first smartphone from the company to sport a fingerprint sensor. Just like most smartphone manufacturers, Intex have added the fingerprint sensor on the back just below the camera sensor. The fingerprint sensor can be used to unlock the smartphone, click selfies and lock and unlock apps on the smartphone. Intex have gone for a smaller 4.5inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution display on the Aqua Secure that supports five finger touch. The pixels per inch figure stands at 217 and the screen to bezel ratio is 60%. The display on the Intex Aqua Secure does not have protective glass cover.

Underneath the hood of the Intex Aqua Secure we have a MediaTek MT6735 SoC that was previously seen on the company’s Cloud Fame, Aqua Ace II and Cloud Swift smartphones. The MediaTek MT6735 SoC houses a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, ARM Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM which is sufficient to run the slightly dated Android Lollipop. It is surprising to see that Intex has opted for Android Lollipop even though some of its cheaper smartphones sport Android Marshmallow.
