Intex Aqua Desire Launched In India At Rs. 5,560; Specs And Features

After launching Intex Aqua Eco and Aqua Y3 last month, the Indian mobile manufacturer has launched a new Aqua-series smartphone- Aqua Desire. The smartphone features entry level specs and is listed on the company’s official site. The phone is priced at Rs. 5,560 and available in e-retail stores Rediff and IndiaTimes Shopping.

As far as the specifications are concerned, Aqua Desire flaunts a 4.7-inch (480x854 pixels) FWVGA IPS display and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera with features like Panorama Shot, HDR, voice capture, and face detection. Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. It packs a 1700 mAh battery which the company claims to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time. Further, the phone comes with preinstalled apps like Ask Me, Clean Master, Flashlight, Intex Fun, Intex Market, Intex Play, Intex Zone, Opera mini, and OLX and additional features such as Auto Call Record, Super player, hide apps, smart wake up, smart gesture, and mobile antitheft. The device weighs 130 grams and will be available White, Blue, and Grey colours

    Intex is strengthening its reputation as a low budget (below 10 K INR); Aqua desire is just another phone in that series.

    It's yet to be seen if Intex can present something which can give fight to Xiaomi, MOTO or Micromax in this segment.
