Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q: Quad-Core Processor & Android Lollipop For Just Rs. 2,999

The weekend is here and so is Intex Technologies with another smartphone. This time they have gone as low as they could with the Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q that costs just shy of three thousand rupees. It may not be as cheap as the mythical World's Cheapest Smartphone At Rs. 251 - Freedom 251 Touted To Ring Bells of Revolution or At Rs. 888 Is The Docoss X1 Another Freedom 251 In The Making? but it delivers on the promise of a cheap Android Lollipop smartphone. The Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q sports a tiny 4inch display with an unusual 400 x 800 pixels resolution. The display that isn’t covered with protective glass supports just one finger touch and the screen-to-body ratio is an abysmal 52% which is much lower than any other Intex smartphone.

Underneath the hood of the Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q things are as bargain basement as possible. We have a Spreadtrum SC7731C chipset that was previously seen on the costlier #-Link-Snipped-# and the cheaper #-Link-Snipped-# smartphone. As you may be aware the chipset houses a 1.2GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 CPU, ARM Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM which takes care of Android Lollipop. The internal storage of the Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q stands at 4GB and you do get the option of expanding that storage to up to 32GB with the help of microSD cards.

When it comes to photography on the Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q, the sensors can be best described as utilitarian. You have got a 2MP LED flash equipped sensor on the rear and a 0.3MP sensor on the front. The Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q is powered by a small 1300mAh battery that offers 5.5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB and the sole sensor found on it is the G-Sensor. The company preloads the smartphone with apps like Matrabhasha and Opera Mini. The smartphone is available in Metal Grey, White and Champagne colour variants.
