Dhruvil Sanghvi

1. Hi Dhruvil. Could you tell our readers something about LogiNext that is still unknown?

Dhruvil:
Something people don’t know about LogiNext is its focus on personal growth for every team member. Apart from team building, fun and adventurous activities we do, we are one of the rare startups which has never worked on a Sunday. We work hard on weekdays but we always make sure that we take every Sunday off to recuperate and come back with the same energy on Monday. That is how everyone at LogiNext grows equally fast in their personal life as well.

2. How did you get in touch with Manisha Raisinghani and Varun Biyani, your co-founders at LogiNext?

Dhruvil: We met at Carnegie Mellon University in 2010 where we all went for our graduate education in the field of big data analytics and management. It became a life changing experience for us and later in 2013 we came back together to start working on LogiNext.

3. How difficult was it to gather the initial funds to setup LogiNext?

Dhruvil: We decided to work in corporate giants to accumulate our savings for 2 years and then built the product at the risk of all those savings. It was indeed a difficult decision to make but they are now paying off.

4. Has entrepreneurship affected your family/social life? How do you achieve work-life balance?

Dhruvil: Well, I have never met an entrepreneur who believes in work-life balance and we also carry the same thought. LogiNext is a huge chunk of our lives and our friends/family have been very supportive to understand our priorities. Hence we have only seen a positive impact on our family/social life where people respect us for our good work.

5. Who are your biggest competitors? Why should customers choose you over your competitors?

Dhruvil: Our biggest competitors are a bunch of the vehicle tracking solutions. Our primary differentiator is our focus and expertise on data analytics. Most of these companies claim that they provide analytics service but in reality, there are very few companies out there which does complex analytics which makes a direct impact on logistics business.

6. How involved are you in the hiring process?

Dhruvil: Hiring is handled by all co-founders personally. We have an intense and smart selection process where we pick and chose the best talent. We look for partners and not for employees while hiring.

7. If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Dhruvil: We already have some strong advisors on our board but given a chance we would love to have Andrew Moore on board. He is the Dean of School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, founder of Goole Pittsburgh office at Pittsburgh and we regard him as the god of machine learning.

8. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?

Dhruvil: We had a tough time perfecting our product and faced some delays before we could go to market. We faced multitude of challenges including external frauds and lack of people who could support our vision in building the next big thing for logistics, but the same can be called as great learning experiences.

9. Thank you for your time. Any message for our readers?

Dhruvil:
“There are plenty of problems in this world which needs your attention. The only tasks worth your time are the ones which make this world better."
