IBM Predicts A Mind Reading Future And Much More!

Don't you just envy Professor X for his mind reading prowess? Sooner than you think such a machine would be possible, according to IBM. IBM scientists are already on work with researches to link the brain to devices being in progress. Don't let your imagination get overwhelmed already, IBM also allows us to paint a picture of ringing someone up just by thinking of it, or willing a cursor to move on a computer screen. This concept is one of IBM's five life-changing innovations expected to occur in the next five years.

IBM adds that Personal Identity would be verified with retina scans or recognition of faces or voices, killing the need for passwords. So, one has to simply walk up to an ATM machine, withdraw money by speaking the name or looking into a tiny sensor that can recognize the unique patterns in the retina. Similarly, one can also check the account balance on a mobile phone or tablet. Another innovation is to extract electrical power out of any type of movement from walking or bicycle riding to water flowing through pipes of homes.

As technology becomes cheaper and it's easier to own a mobile phone now, people without a lot of spending power will be able to do much more than they can today, hence getting rid of any digital divide. Unwanted, junk mails would be history with IBM developing technology based on real-time analytics. This will  integrate data from as many personalized sources such as a person's social networks and online preferences to present and recommend information that is meaningful.
