HOW TO REDUCE GLARE DURING NIGHT TIME

Project Abstract / Summary : THIS PAPER WOULD BE DISCUSSING AS TO REDUCE GLARE DURING NIGHT PROVIDING THE USERS WITH A BETTER VISION AND A SAFE RIDE. SO WE HAVE COME UP WITH AN IDEA TO REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF LIGHT BY ABSORBING A PARTICULAR SET OF LIGHT VECTOR. FIRSTLY WE ARE INTRODUCING MODIFIED POLARISED WINDSHIELDS CONSISTING A SHEET OF EVA ( ETHYLENE VINYL ACETATE ) AND PVB ( POLY VINYL BUTRYL) WHICH IS THE MATERIAL COMMONLY USED IN WINDSHIELD OVER WHICH THERE WOULD BE A STRIP OF POLARISED SCREENS THAT WOULD BLOCK THE LIGHT VECTORS EMERGING FROM THE VEHICLE FROM OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS AND OTHER SOURCES OF LIGHT. THIS SCREEN WOULD RUNOVER THE LAYER OF WINDSHIELD AS PER THE REQUIRED PURPOSE OF LIGHT. IT IS AIMED AT BLOCKING OF LIGHT VECTORS DURING NIGHT AS IT WOULD SERVE LESS PURPOSE IN THE DAYLIGHT. SECONDLY, WE CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF REPLACING THE CONVENTIONAL BULBS USED IN TODAY’S LIFE.

1: USING COLOUR CORRECTED HEADLIGHTS : THE NEODYMIUM OXIDE DOPING ALLOWS PRODUCTION OF CONCENTRATED LIGHT WITH SPECIFIC DISTRIBUTION , WHICH PROMOTES NIGHT VISION AND VISUAL ACUITY BY FOCUSSING THE RED AND GREEN LIGHTS. THIS METHOD SOMEHOW WOULD BE LESS COSTLY THAN ANY OTHER MEASURE TO CONTROL GLARE.

2: USING ELECTROCHROMIC MIRROR: THIS CAME WITH THE DISADVANTAGE OF PRISM MIRROR BY PROVIDING CONTINUOUS LEVEL OF REFLECTIVITY. THESE MIRROR AUTOMATICALLY DARKEN TO REDUCE GLARE FROM HEADLAMPS OF VEHICLES APPROACHING FROM THE REAR. THE BRIGHTER THE GLARE, THE DARKER THE MIRROR BECOME.

SO, BY THIS WE HOPE TO RESEARCH IN THIS FIELD AND COME UP WITH SOME SUITABLE SOLUTIONS TO ELIMINATE OR REDUCE THIS SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM FACED BY THE PEOPLE TRAVELLING IN THE VEHICLE DURING THE NIGHT TIME.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : AS OF NOW PEOPLE ARE FACING MANY DIFFICULTIES DURING NIGHT DRIVING WHETHER TWO WHEELER OR FOUR WHEELER , SO TO REDUCE THIS PROBLEM WE CAME UP WITH SUCH AN IDEA TO MAKE SUCH A DEVICE OR ANY TYPE OF LENSES WHICH WOULD IMPLEMENT ON OUR CAR WINDSHIELD SO IT CAN REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF GLARE. THIS METHOD IF ACCOMPLISHED WOULD BE A REMEDY TOWARDS GLARE IN FUTURE.

Project Highlights : GLARE IS AN IRRITATING EFFECT THAT HINDERS VISION. THIS LEADS TO ACCIDENTS ON THE ROADS LEADING TO HIGH DEATH RATES.THUS , THIS CRISIS CAN BE AND SHOULD BE SOLVED TO SERVE BETTER TO THE CUSTOMERS USING THE VEHICLES AND DRIVE SAFE.
