Can anyone please explain the criteria and eligibility to get PMP certificate.

1: PMP is not free - you’ll need $405 to pay the PMI to sit the exam. Many people attend training courses designed to help prepare them for the examination. You’ll also probably want to join PMI. This becomes a non trivial investment and many get time and funds from their employer to help.

2: You need to get support from your colleagues and clients to back up your claim that you have served time on projects.

3: You need to commit to continuing work to maintain your qualification by gaining Professional Development Units through reading, attending relevent events and so on.

It is not easy but PMI claim around a million people have gained the PMP.
