  First thing to do is to search for the simple line follower robots and build one. You will then have to decide what feature set you wish to have for your robot and then select components one by one to achieve those features.

  The last video that you posted uses Lego Mindstorm kit: #-Link-Snipped-# . It looks to me that you need basic knowledge in building robots. Have you built any robots so far?
  
  Without knowing the features, it'd be difficult to figure out which components to use. For example, what sensors does your robot need? What specific functions does it need to do? What type of weight does it need to carry? What speed do you want it to move with and so on.
