How the pace of cricket ball is recorded while bowler is bowling from one end?

I always wonder to see the ball speed when live match is going on and the speed of the ball calculated or recorded as soon as the ball reaches the keepers glove or the ball stroked by the batsman. How can it be recorded so quickly without any delay? What mechanism is behind this process?
