Honda is a well known name in automotive engineering. The company that gave us the most advance robotics through ASIMO has unveiled a new type of personal mobility device called 'UNI-CUB'. The Uni-Cub is an evolved version of U3-X mobility device capable of moving 90 degrees to left or right. The Omni Traction Drive System installed in the device allows anyone to master the movements by just leaning in the direction you want to travel to. Honda says it's really easy to operate the machine and also offers a mobile app to control the movements. The Uni-Cub can travel at a speed of about 6 kmph. It's powered by a Li-Ion battery that can keep the device running at its peak speed for about an hour. Honda doesn't seem to have any plans to mass-produce the Uni-Cub, but it will allow people to test drive it in spring 2013. Watch this video captured by TheVerge Team -
