Gunnar Eyewear : An Awesome Gadget Or Mere Marketing Strategy ?
GUNNARS are high-tech computer glasses designed specially for the group of people like Gamers,Bloggers,Coders,IT Technicians,Video editors,etc. who are glued to the computer for majority time of the day.
Usually, these group of people are vulnerable to eye related diseases due to continuous direct contact of eyes with the Smartphones,Tablet & Computer screens.So, a California based company named Gunnar Optiks have designed cheeky looking safety glasses which can protect your eyes from eye related diseases.
Gunnar comes in two major flavours, one is Amber tinted & another is, no-tinted glasses which are named as Advanced Gaming Eyewear & Advanced Computing Eyewear respectively.
Gunnar Optiks claims that Amber tinted eyewear improves efficiency while defending eyes against eye fatigue due to constant longtime gameplay.
There are many advanced technologies in normal glasses like Anti-reflective (AF) i.e. Anti-glare glasses which reduces glare on the glasses.
The components, Gunnar Optiks are using is no other than which can be obtained from normal glasses. Also, I have hardly found a blog which talks about technology that's being used by Gunnar Optiks to protect the eyes(Maybe because the product is proprietary, but that doesn't mean they can't openly talk about technology being used), which creates a lot of question in my mind(& maybe yours) that :

Whether Gunnar Optiks do really provides very high quality & engineered glass different from normal glass which protects the eyes from the fatigue, & helpful for Gamers, IT Technicians, Bloggers,etc. OR is it just a marketing strategy by selling normal glass & earn big bucks.
Is it worth 6K INR ? Is it just a normal glasses with sexy frames ?
