Google Maps For Android Updated, Now Includes 1 Million+ Transit Locations

Google maps is the easiest and most convenient service that guides user towards destination. Google has always added to its customer's convenience and is still on with the job. It provides all possible routes (including mode of transportation) to the destination, allowing the user to select the most optimum route and vehicle. Google Maps now includes more than 1 million transit stops for public transport in 500 cities. In India, the service is provided only in four cities - Banglore, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.

Google has also launched an updated version of Google Maps for Android which avoids chaos due to increased stops and adds additional features. The new 6.10 version allows to choose a specific mode of public transport, hiding the route by all other modes. This simplifies visualization of route, especially for areas which are packed by several types of transportation.

Station pages can now be accessed simply by tapping on the name of station. Also, border of  a searched region gets highlighted. This helps the user to confine the view within the searched city/postal area. Google has made changes with the layout as well, adding a tab that allows the user to access saved, starred and custom maps. Users can find the tab right under 'My Places'. The new version has been released, try it and share your experience with us!
