The all new GALAXY Tab 2 is a 7-inch tablet available with 3G, HSPA? 21Mbps or WiFi connectivity. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), a first time for Samsung Tablet and has a 1GHz dual core processor. The 7" display is WSVGA(1024x600) PLS TFT. The front camera is VGA for Video Calling, while the rear one is 3 Megapixel Fixed Focus Camera with No LED Flash. The tablet is 10.5mm thick making it a little thicker than its counterparts.

With access to the upgraded Android Market, user will get access to more than 400,000 apps. Samsung claims that the UI is made more intuitive and includes ability to swipe-control the apps. Users will like the 'Face Unlock feature' that unlocks the tablet through unique facial recognition software. Samsung mentions certain value-added features in the tech specs that include Samsung S Suggest (an app recommendation service), Samsung ChatON, AllShare Play, Polaris and A-GPS, Glonass (which is available on 3G version only).

There is no official word regarding the price of this tablet, but we think that it will be lesser than that of Galaxy Tab 7.0. This tablet will be available from March, first in UK and then the rest of the world.
