Galaxy Note II - UBP Display - Quad Core - Android Jelly Bean - October 2012 - Are You Ready?

Naysayers were amazed to see Samsung's 5.3" phablet selling like a hot cake all over the world. Samsung opened a whole new category of large sized smartphones through Galaxy Note and now, the South Korean electronics major is ready to bring you the follow up, Galaxy Note II in October this year. We expect the Apple iPhone 5 to be ready by that time (assuming that Apple will follow their launch cycle) and it'd be interesting to watch how the smartphone rivals step up the hardware / software battle. Samsung wants to launch their powerful Galaxy Model around the same time as iPhone 5 launch.

From what we read on #-Link-Snipped-#, Galaxy Note II will carry the legacy of original Note with a massive 5.3" display and is expected to be inspired from Samsung Galaxy SIII, which the company launched few days ago. We expect the S-Voice and other SIII features to be available on Note II. What's more interesting is that the Note II is expected to carry a UBP (Unbreakable Plane) display which is a precursor to the flexible displays Samsung has been #-Link-Snipped-# for many years. This new display will allow for thinner design and offer more space for other hardware like the processor and baseband core chip. Sources say that Galaxy Note was scheduled to launch in the first half of this year, but Samsung pushed the release date to October to comply with their new strategy for the next quarters.

While the specifics aren't available yet, Note II is likely to have a better battery than Note and expected to ship with Google Android's next version - called the Jelly Bean (aka Android 5.0). Google is yet to announce #-Link-Snipped-# #-Link-Snipped-# officially; but we expect it to be available by October this year. We also hear that Note II will carry a quad core processor faster than the existing lot.

We are excited. Are you?
