Folder is an executable file: A classmate answers

We had to give seminar in the college yesterday.
The students who had 'bought' or 'downloaded' projects instead of 'creating' them were heavily bombarded with questions (..to which of course they couldn't answer at all)

Amidst this tense & stressed atmosphere of the room, following scene occurred:

Professor:
Your Project is Naive. Let me ask you a logical question. Why can't we attach a complete folder in an email?
(She wanted to ask, why do we have to create a zip file of the folder before attaching it?)

Student:
Err...😒 ...Because Folder is an Executable File.

Professor: :shock: What? Do you mean to say, a folder has .exe extension?

Student: (Very confidently) Yes Ma'am. We can not attach .exe file in emails.

Professor: Are you sure?

Student:
Aah...yes.

Professor: 😲 Next Group Please...

...Much has been talked about the poor state of Engineering students.

But do we expect such kind of students in their III year of Engineering? 😡

I am left bewildered.
