Facebook focus on Women Entrepreneurs in India

Facebook has decided to train about 25K Women entrepreneurs in India focusing on Women Entrepreneurship. The Orissa State government in collaboration with Facebook has decided train Small/medium entrepreneurs and Women SHG's through workshops on digital marketing.

In a meeting headed by MSME Secretary L N Gupta also attended by some officials of US social giants, it has been decided to train approximately 25000 women of MSME's and SHG on digital marketing over the next one year on initiative level. The workshop locations will be mostly Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Berhampur, Angul, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Rayagada, Jeypore, Puri and Keonjhar.

"Facebook team will teach them the digital skills for promotion of their respective products/services so as to increase reach to larger and intended customer base. The workshops will not only digitally empower the MSME entrepreneurs, but will also offer a platform for interaction," said Gupta
