Elecom's NFC Keyboard For Android Smartphones Is The World's First

When it comes to NFC, mobile payment is what comes to our mind at first. Many of us were expecting a lot from the NFC technology. Implementing it in keyboards always looked like a good choice, because they have a plus point over the classic bluetooth keyboards as they eliminate the need of pairing the devices. Elecom, the Japanese electronics company, has brought a NFC Keyboard to the market designed for the Android Smartphones. We like the idea of using a portable keyboard on the go to make the most of Android smartphone apps. It uses the radio frequency of 13.56MHz band and can be used at a distance of about 10mm.

Elecom's small silicon keyboard with the title code TK-FNS040BK uses NFC IP-1 protocol and can turn your mobile device in a compact productivity center. Users will need to use Elecom’s ATOK software on Google Play to be able to use this nifty little keyboard. With a price of 18,690 Yen (approx. $240), this keyboard comes with a special case which can hold the folded keyboard and carry wherever you go.
